Fink's Comments  (rates this release 4.5/5.0)
An excellent release of an extremely good Musicology show. All 3 nights at Madison Square Garden are circulating, and this is without doubt the best, both in terms of sound quality and performance. The audience level is a little overpowering during the opening Alicia Keys speech (only a tiny portion is on here before 'Musicology'), and the treble level during Sheila E's performance is higher than at any other part of the show - however those are my only 2 complaints, and the remainder of the recording is excellent.

While the set-list is fairly representative of many other Musicology shows, Prince's performance lifts it above the routine. The undoubted highlight of the show is Sheila E's performance of 'The Glamorous Life' and a short percussion solo, in fact her appearance earns the largest cheer of the night. The remainder of the show is fairly typical, however still extremely enjoyable. The added bonus of 3 tracks from the previous nights show are a nice addition, however the sound quality isn't as good as the 14th July recording, and they sound a little weak in comparison.

The packaging, as you would expect is original and creative. The booklet contains the article and interview with Prince from Modern Drummer magazine, along with pictures from L'uomo Vogue.
