Filmed by an audience member slightly to the left hand side of the stage this footage is amongst the best of the Act II Tour. The picture is of a high quality and the camera work is mainly steady and focused. There are some sound drop-outs during the first half of the show, however these clear up quite quickly. The zoom is used for a good portion of the show with some truly excellent close-up shots, however there are times (for instance during 'Kiss and 'Irresistible Bitch') when the zoom is not used, and the view is partially obstructed. The biggest problem with this footage though is the frustratingly annoying drop-outs in the picture during the middle section of the show from 'Purple Rain' all the way through to '7'. The song begins and within 20 seconds it has disappeared again and moved onto the next track.

The mid section of the show should last around 40 minutes - however here we have only 2 or 3 minutes worth of that - SUCH a shame. Things move smoothly again from Mayte's Speech onwards and the remaining footage is complete. The show itself is perhaps one of the best of the Act II Tour. There is an amazing flamenco-inspired guitar solo, complete with some Matador dance moves during 'She's Always In My Hair' (and an explosive reaction from the Spanish crowd). Prince gives himself a cool, lengthy drum solo during 'Baby I'm A Star', and 'D.M.S.R.' features a cool lengthy bass jam by Prince before he slows the song down and starts singing the song completely differently in a bluesy laid-back voice. This really is exceptionally well filmed footage of an exceptionally good Act II show - which makes the missing portion of the show all the more annoying. What IS here is excellent though, and we should be very thankful for that.
