The first Arsenio Hall show is a beauty. Prince appears to be
fresh and full of life. There are some cool (and not so cool) dance moves,
lots of splits, and some nice guitar work. All with crisp, sharp picture
quality and sharp sound. The Arsenio Hall Rehearsal suffers due to pretty
poor picture quality (and stuck in between 2 perfect quality broadcasts just
makes it look worse). Nothing much happens, and it's a basic run through of
the nights performance. The only thing of note is the sound technician who
introduces each track - he's a mix between Michael Jackson's dad and Morris
Day - not a pretty sight. Lastly we have the broadcast - again in perfect
sound quality and with a sharp, clear picture. This particular fan release
doesn't have menu's, or chaptering, and in comparison to other versions of
this footage circulating - this is pretty poor overall.
