Has many of the same tracks as Crucial, which is a better collection of outakes from this period. The extended version of We Can Funk and the second version of Witness are the only saving graces of this disc. Many of the songs are available in better quality on a number of other outake releases. This has been reissued many times with a couple of different covers and many different 'labels'.

This is actually a pretty good release for a few reasons. First off, it has the alternate version of Crystal Ball with the 'Purple Underground' speech, but without the additional orchestration of the released version. A cleaner copy of this song can be found on Crystal Ball II, however. Another plus for this release is the inclusion of A Place in Heaven with Lisa doing the vocals. Then there are the two versions of We Can Funk which are my favorite part of this release. Most of these tracks can now be found elsewhere in a little better quality, but this is still worth a listen.
