An interesting release of Prince performing covers. Many of these have been around for a long time. Cold Sweat is from the classic Small Club show. There are a few other releases like this around, but so far this is the most varied. Most take tracks from Small Club and a June 14, 1987 aftershow and that's it. The inclusion of his guest appearance with Bangles is a nice addition not found anywhere else. The small booklet does include information about all the tracks. If you get into Prince reworking classic songs by other artists this is worth having regardless of the average and below average sound quality

Just having all these cover versions on a single disc make this release worth picking up.

A semi-interesting idea here, a compilation made up of cover versions Prince has performed live over the years. It could, and should, have been done much better than this however, for the sound quality varies wildly from nigh-on perfect soundboard to good, mediocre and poor audience recordings. Most of the tracks here are available on other titles, usually in better sound too, the only exceptions being the two tracks from the Paris 1992 shows. But neither of those are sufficient reason to recommend this particularly highly.
